these guys are always hiring. read their ad on craigslist. no apartment maintenance techs. they do crumby work. that turned me off right there. even though i am biased because i’ve worked in this feild for 23 years. i just think the ad speaks for how the company really is and why they still have an ad going on for about 6 months now.

LOL! No I don’t plan on changing them all out. I only install a piston on the ones that get a restriction in the metering devices. If I have to remove the metering device, then I install a TXV and feeder. Same amount of work.
2 condenser fans on those bad boys with a low climate fan cycle control and economizers, but I see your point. if you plan on switching all them out to TXV’s, you’re gonna be a busy SOB
Looks like a Trane YCD240 (20 ton), etc which I have dozens of to service here. None of mine have greasable bearings in them. My belts on THIS size are BX75. YCD181 takes BX64 and my YCD151’s take BX62’s. Newer ones all use scroll compressors the older ones semi-herms. They use them stupid multiple piston feeders instead of TXV’s, ehich is RETARDED in my opinion. They run in cooling year round here in Phoenix. Suction likes to run 45 PSI in mild weather because of no TXV.
I work on two of these exsact units once a week,Grease ports on the side for back BM grease for front through front right panel, these things seem to go through belts,b-52, and have semi-herm comp,, a good unit with a frickin huge evap coil and 10 20×24x2 filters, TIP: DONT OVER GREASE

you maybe should have added that even once you cut the power you have to still watch out for the capacitors. especially on carrier units.
