SeekingAnswers:
My condo uses radiant heat, where the heat rises from sub-flooring coils, attached to a boiler in a large apartment building. Is there a specific way the carpet should be cleaned to avoid damaging the coils? Or can I use any type of carpet cleaning service? There were problems in the past when carpet was installed, so I just thought I’d ask to be on the safe side. Thanks

First you need to find out what the order of materials are in the floor. if the radiant heat is a liquid system(which i bet it is because of the boiler) and it is in the floor ( either under the subfloor(plywood) or in a layer of lightweight concrete) you should be fine but if you are worried then just turn the heat off until the floor is dry. best of luck
