I’m going to give the answer to the last one because (1) many different answers would fit and (2) I think it might be debatable.
It says “Heat”. The source is the tech manual for Ti45 IR Thermal Imager.
Radiant heat CAN transmit through a vacuum. Maybe they’re only talking about convection and conduction when they say “Heat”.
